LED Signs, Part I

LED signs are computerized programmable electronic visual communication devices. They are capable of storing and displaying multiple messages in dozens of formats and at varying intervals. Similar to reader boards, they allow their owners to change message frequently, but without the cost of replacing missing or broken letters, and without the physical labor involved in changing copy.

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode.  LEDs do not use filaments. That is why they are more efficient, almost all the electricity is used for making light, not heat. The LEDs used in most LED Signs are rated to last approximately 100,000 hours, which means about 10 years.

Most of the cities require a permit to install outdoor LED sign. Captivating Signs is a fully insured and bonded, and we can help you with acquiring the permit. Getting the permit will ensure that your sign is complying with the city code and you are getting the largest sign possible.

If you are considering a new sign or a sign upgrade, an LED sign could be your best investment.
